ORDERING AND POLICY INFORMATION

Orders can be placed via the on-line shopping cart and paid by credit card or PayPal online. Or you can select to pay by check, money order or call with credit card information which will allow you to checkout without submitting a credit card or payment online. Payments should be sent to the address below or on the order invoice. Should you prefer to place an order through the mail you can use the "Print Version Order Form" from the link above. Also, you can phone in an order to the order desk at 888-430-4731 PST.

Checkout: This site provides a fast and easy checkout. New customers can set up an account or simply checkout as a "Guest". Note: Passwords are hashed, which means they are encrypted and not stored as text. Nobody, not even the site administrator (aka Em) has access to the encryption key. Therefore, if you forget your password, you can have a link emailed to your address on the account and reset the password yourself. In addition, NO credit card data is stored on the site for your added security.

Returns:
There is a 30 day return period from the date of purchase subject to the following return policy and exclusions: Returned items must be unused, pre-authorized and in original package or container to receive a product refund or credit. In addition, item/s need to be in the same condition as received.

Exclusions include toiletries, essential oils and personal care products because it cannot be verified such products have not been contaminated or unused - therefore be sure to select the smallest size available. In addition, CD's, books or custom items are not returnable. Also, there are no refunds due to a scent not being to someones preference. See the scent sample offer for our main aromas here.

Shipping and handling costs are not refundable unless goods are damaged in shipment or there has been an order processing error on our part. Please notify Em’s Place Inc. first via email or phone to receive a return authorization.

Privacy statement: Em's Place, Inc. does not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information except as described in the Privacy Policy.

Shipping and Handling: Shipping/Handling charges (chart at bottom of page) are based on shipping via USPS (United States Postal Service) Priority or First Class mail, with delivery or signature tracking. Sorry, no COD orders. If you need special shipping please call or write for information. Also see premium shipping option below.

Sometimes a customer will place back-to back or close together orders. In that event, Em's Place Inc. will try to combine the orders into one shipment. If this is possible, the orders will ship together and a refund will be issued for the s/h on the lowest amount less a one dollar consolidation fee.

Premium shipping: This is an option available at checkout using FedEx and puts a $20.00 surcharge on the regular s/h amount. This selection will put a rush on the order and provide for FedEx three day express delivery once the order is processed, and provide an email tracking notification. The goal is to have the order delivered to the customer by the fifth business day, or sooner if possible, following the date of the order. This does not include overnight or Saturday delivery - contact Em's Place, Inc. if overnight or Saturday service is needed and additional shipping may be necessary.

International orders: Em's Place, Inc. regrets it currently does not ship to Canada or other international destinations. This is due to custom constraints, shipping costs, governmental bureaucracy and offshore payment scams.

Shipping Time: Items are shipped within 2 to 4 business days and generally sooner for regular shipping unless it is unusually busy or it is the holiday season - in which case it could take a little longer. (See Premium Shipping above for expedited shipping details). You will be notified via the web site or by e-mail if an item is out-of-stock or there are any additional delays expected. Em's Place Inc. does its best to update out-of-stock items on the web site as soon as this occurs. However, sometimes an order will come through before an out-of-stock notation can be posted.

Out-of Stock Items: If your order includes an out of stock item, you will be contacted via phone or e-mail to see how you want to proceed. Em's Place Inc. doesn't put items on backorder due to the often lengthy delays in getting replacement stock back in.

Changes: Prices are subject to change without notice and do not include shipping or handling charges. Products may be limited due to stock on-hand, growing season or availability.

Delivery or Damage: Please inspect the package at time of arrival and notify Em"s Place, Inc. immediately if there is any shipping damage and to receive an RMA (return merchandise authorization) in order to obtain a credit or refund.

The shipping/handling is not refundable and the customer will incur any additional return shipping charges plus a 10% re-stocking fee for any order that is refused by the customer, or not deliverable to the shipping address on the order, and returned to Em's Place, Inc. Please make sure the shipping address submitted with the order is valid and entered correctly.

Brush, Razor and Product Warranties: Em's Place, Inc., stands behind the products it sells. This company offers private label brands under its company name, and also offers products branded under other companies’ names. Any brand or label on the open market is not indicative of the manufacturer for a given product. In the event a branded product offers their own warrantee or is also the manufacturer, the warrantee will be under said brand or manufacturer, and Em’s Place Inc. will work to connect the customer to the responsible party in the event of a problem or defect (for example Merkur/DOVO).

In the event the item is a private label and distributed by Em’s Place Inc., then Em’s Place Inc. is responsible for the product as outlined on this page and in the terms of service.

Refunds/Credits/Exchanges: Em's Place, Inc. will exchange, credit or reimburse the customer for original shipping charges only in the event of damaged or defective merchandise. The customer will pay the return shipping to Em's Place, Inc. before the returned merchandise cost is refunded, credited or exchanged. Customized or engraved items are not refundable. Also reference the "Returns" section above.

In the event a defect shows up upon use of a product, the customer needs to email or call Em’s Place Inc. for a resolution or to find out how to proceed. This warrantee window is for a period of six months for private label products, although could be different for a manufactures branded item. This is why it is important to contact Em’s Place Inc. and also read the Warrantee information above for more details..

In the event the order was eligible for free shipping, if the order is returned for refund the normal s/h that would have applied without the free shipping offer will be deducted from the refund amount. In the event of an exchange, the normal s/h will apply to the outgoing shipment for the exchange items/s.

In regard to the customer receiving an order: It is up to the customer to notify Em's Place, Inc. if the order does not show up within 10 days of being shipped, or within 21 days of placing the order. Once the order is shipped, it is considered to be in the possession of the recipient. In order to trace a package or try to determine what has transpired during shipment, if the customer has not received the order during this time, we need to be notified in a timely manner and the sooner the better. In any event, after 30-days the customer is presumed to have possession of the order when tracking or delivery confirmation shows the order has been delivered, and therefore there is no credit or refund after that time.

Aromatherapy and Body Care Notice: When using body care products on the skin, if any irritation or reaction should occur either increase the dilution - in the case of essential oil usage, or discontinue use. It is a good idea to do a patch test before using essential oils. Avoid contact with eyes and mucus membranes, and keep out of reach of children. Information provided is for information purposes only and is not a prescriptive guide. Products are intended for external use only.

Consult with your physician or aromatherapy reference for advice or information concerning your specific therapeutic needs or use of essential oils and naturally based body care products. In addition, consult with your physician or pharmacist to be sure there wouldn't be any product or essential oil/s conflict with any medication you may be taking, or any other health issues.

Natural products notice and information: Many of our products are derived from natural materials or ingredients. Therefore, any variations in size, color, aroma, texture or other differences that can happen with these materials are considered normal. In addition, natural body care products should be used, not stored on the shelf and best used within six months from purchase.

Disclaimer and Notice: Straight razors and other kinds of razors and blades are sharp and cuts can occur. The use of a straight razor, or any shaving and body care product, is at the user's own risk. Em's Place, Inc. is held harmless and assumes no liability or responsibility for any person using razors, blades or any other body care product or sharp instrument. Always keep sharp objects and body care items away from the reach of children and pets.

Note: Unpaid orders will remain open for 2 business days unless a check or money order is being sent. If we have not received any communication about payment, or otherwise received payment in a timely manner, the order will be cancelled. Therefore, time is of the essence.
